Tulsa Garden Center’s
Linnaeus Teaching Garden presents
2010’s Little Green Thumbs: “Vegetables and Herbs”
Spend a cool morning with your child learning and having fun with vegetables and herbs! Let your child explore the world of gardening and fun! The Tulsa Garden Center welcomes children to find their little green thumb this July with the Little Green Thumbs program. The Tulsa Garden Center brings fun, inexpensive educational activities, arts and crafts and much more for you and your child! Bring your child to Tulsa Garden Center’s, Little Green Thumbs on July 17th from 9 am to 11:30 am.
During your child’s time with Little Green Thumbs, children will learn about vegetables and herbs through our Children’s garden designed especially for you and your child. Your little green thumb will be able to plant herbs in the garden and also try an herbal snack themselves. Enthusiastic guests from the Tulsa Herb Society will be educating the children about the importance of vegetables and herbs. Children will also enjoy various uses of herbs for medicine and crafts, and create their own sketches.
Children from ages 4-11 may attend. An adult must accompany ages 4-7.
Little Green thumbs will be held at the building west of the Linnaeus Teaching Garden barn, 2435 S. Peoria Ave.
Pre-registration is required. Individual class is $10- TGC member or
$15 non-member. Please call 746-5125 to register your little green thumb for this educational program.
