TULSA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

BUSINESS HOURS

Tuesday  through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Museum is closed to the public on Sundays and Mondays. 

Unescorted visits to view the facility are permitted during regular business hours.   

Rental clients may meet with the Events Coordinator by appointment.  

Client appointments to meet with florists, caterers, musicians, etc. at the Historical Society should be scheduled in advance with the Events Coordinator.

 

THE MUSEUM

The museum's rental space consists of three rooms:   the Hall of Fame Gallery, the Audio-Visual Room, and the Travis Mansion Room.   

The Hall of Fame Gallery will accommodate up to 175-200  people for a standing reception or up to 96 seated at 60” rounds with 8 chairs at each table, or 125 in theatre-style seating. Please consult with the Events Coordinator for room arrangements.   

The Audio-Visual Room will accommodate 48 seated at 60” rounds, 30 - 40 seminar style with 8 foot tables,  or 70 theater style. Contact the Events Coordinator for more information. 

The Travis Mansion room will accommodate up to 175-200 people for a standing reception, 120-136 seated at 60" rounds, or 150 in theatre-style seating. (All numbers are approximate, depending on the type of tables and chairs used.)

CONTRACT

A signed contract plus the down payment (1/2 of the total rental fee) is required to reserve a date for the function.  THE DOWN PAYMENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.  The balance of the rental fee is due 2 months prior to the reserved date.  If the event is scheduled less than two months in advance, payment in full is due at contract signing.  Please contact the Events Coordinator for exact prices. 

Rental of the facility includes use of tables & chairs inside only, and the services of an Event Attendant and Security Guard for the evening.  They are not wait staff nor clean-up staff. 

All tables and chairs to be used outside must be rented. 

Events scheduled on Holiday weekends will require an additional $300 for Holiday Labor. 

WEDDING RECEPTION INFORMATION

Contract time is for six (6) hours.  Suggested contracted rental time includes 1 hr for caterer set-up & decorating, 4 hours for event, and 1 hr for caterer clean-up.  Wedding receptions for more than 75 guests are STRONGLY requested  to hire professional  caterers and provide professional wait and clean-up staff.  

Additional time is $100.00 per hour, and a curfew waiver after 11:00 p.m. is $200.00 per hour.   

The Hall of Fame Gallery and Audio-Visual Room are $1,000.00 for a 6-hour block, and will accommodate from 100-175 people, depending on the type of tables & chairs used.  Early entry and late stay are subject to availability and  management approval. 

PRICING & CONTRACT DETAILS

The Hall of Fame Gallery and Audio-Visual Room are $1,000.00 for a 6-hour block of time.

The Travis Mansion area is $1,200.00 for a 6-hour block of time.

If the Travis Mansion, Hall of Fame and A/V room are rented together, the cost is $2,000.00 for 6 hours.

WEDDING CEREMONY INFORMATION

In addition to the six (6) hour rental rate, a charge of $300.00 will be assessed for an outside wedding ceremony.  This includes:

1. Set-up and take-down of rented chairs.

2. One (1) hour  rehearsal time.

3. Event Attendant and Security Guard for the ceremony.  They are not wait staff nor clean-up staff.

4. One (1) hour photo time in the facility (by appointment only); Additional time is $75/hour. 

RESTROOMS

The restrooms are located on the west end of the Hall of Fame Gallery.  

ACCESSIBILITY

The facility, the restrooms and water fountain are all wheelchair accessible. 

 

PRELIMINARY EVENT PLANNING INFORMATION

Tulsa Garden Center Mansion (TGC) and Tulsa Historical Society (THS)

NO SMOKING POLICY

No smoking is allowed in either building per Title #27, Section #658, of the revised Ordinances for the City of Tulsa.

PARKING

165 parking spaces total ;  2 handicapped near TGC entrance,  4 handicapped near THS entrance)

KITCHEN

No kitchen supplies, linens or dishes are included in the rental of Tulsa Garden Center or Tulsa Historical Society.  All incidental kitchen items are the responsibility of the lessee.  

AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT

Limited audiovisual equipment is available with rental and upon request.  Please ask for details.

TABLES AND CHAIRS

Tables and chairs are available for use inside the building with your rental at no additional cost, upon request and subject to availability.

Rental chairs and tables must be obtained for use in any outside set-up at the Tulsa Historical Society. 

DELIVERIES

All deliveries to Tulsa Garden Center  must be made by appointment during regular business hours (Mon—Fri 9:00am—4:00pm.  Deliveries may not be made through the TGC main entrance.  The TGC kitchen service door or the Auditorium service door are available for equipment and catering deliveries.  Saturday deliveries MUST be arranged in advance with the Events Coordinator. 

THS has a loading dock off 25th Street with parking for the catering staff.  All THS deliveries must be arranged in advance with the Events Coordinator (746-5133). Pick up of rental items should be done the following business day between 9:00 a.m.—12:00 noon. Please discuss details with the Events Coordinator. 

RATES

Each facility has its own rental rates and offers corporate and non-profit rates.  The non-profit rates are available Sunday-Thursday only.  To qualify for non-profit rates, the organization must prove 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
