Dianthus frame a series of waterfalls just north of the Greenhouse.
Water Hyacinths create a floating cluster near the foot bridge.
The Heron decoy beside the east waterfall is intended to keep real Herons from eating the Goldfish in the pond.

The bog garden is a small portion of the Garden that models a real bog, with appropriate plants and shallow water.
Several large Koi, as well as a number of smaller Goldfish, provide color and movement to the pond. The pond has a gravel and stone bottom, just like a natural waterway.
Our Water Garden Curator doesn't hesitate to get her feet wet to periodically gather up excess vegetation.
